Good morning, welcome back to the easy english everyday [e32you]
Let's continue with the pro- series. I would like to share you a common word: profession.

-----------------------
Words:
Profession

Meanings and examples:

1. A paid occupation, especially one that involves prolonged training and a formal qualification

E.g: his chosen profession of teaching

2. An open but often false claim

E.g: his profession of delight rang hollow

3. A declaration of belief in a religion

E.g: they were baptized on profession of faith

Pronunciation: /prəˈfɛʃ(ə)n/

Note: Middle English (denoting the vow made on entering a religious order): via Old French from Latin professio, fromprofiteri 'declare publicly' derives from the notion of an occupation that one ‘professes’ to be skilled in.
