Prophet
Good morning, welcome back to the easy english everyday [e32you]

Let's continue our pro- series by going into a different aspect. This word should be familiar with most people, but I think reminding the meaning would be helpful.

-----------------------

Words:

Prophet

Meaning: A person who makes or claims to be able to make predictions

Pronunciation: /ˈpräfit/

Note: Middle English: from Old French prophete, via Latin from Greek prophētēs 'spokesman', from pro 'before' + phētēs'speaker' (from phēnai 'speak').

Example:  the prime minister ignored the prophets of doom
